Training & Equitable Access (TEA) Clinic

Aims to increase access to comprehensive, high-quality evaluations and to provide excellent training to aspiring neuropsychologists. The clinic serves youth with complex medical conditions with MediCal insurance.

Why assess?

Assessment can provide insight into your child’s unique profile of gifts and growth areas. Below are some reasons why you might consider a neuropsychological assessment for your child:

  • Diagnostic clarification of neurodevelopmental differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, or autism

  • Identify emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD

  • Monitor recovery and development following concussion, head injury, brain surgery, or chemotherapy

  • To help formulate an effective learning plan or IEP for a child with learning differences or emotional challenges

  • To determine if your child is eligible for accommodations on standardized tests such as the ERB, SAT, or GRE

Dr. Young has been providing neuropsychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and young adults since 2009. She is passionate about equipping youth and their families with strategic, individualized treatment plans that capitalize on strengths and enhance areas of growth.
