Neuropsychologist
Dr. Julia Nunan-Saah
Dr. Nunan-Saah specializes in the neuropsychological evaluation of children, adolescents, and young adults. Throughout the evaluation process, she partners with families to reach a comprehensive understanding of their child, to better understand their challenges, and to identify strengths that can enhance progress. She collaborates with parents, educators, and medical professionals to develop tailored, evidence-based recommendations to help each child reach their potential.
Dr. Nunan-Saah’s areas of expertise include learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and mood/anxiety disorders. Additionally, she has worked with children with a range of complex medical conditions, including epilepsy, cancer, brain tumors, concussion and head injuries, and genetic conditions.
A Bay Area native, Dr. Nunan-Saah obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University. She completed her predoctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at San Francisco Neuropsychology, PC. She previously worked as a pediatric neuropsychologist at the Child Mind Institute.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Nunan-Saah has published her research in several peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Pediatric Neuropsychology and Multiple Sclerosis Journal. She is also passionate about training and supervision of graduate students in clinical neuropsychology.
